Remote Mastering

Remote mastering can be performed for the creation of red-book standard CD releases, as well as for digital downloads.

At Curved we have our own server where we can set you up with an account which allows you to upload your finished tracks without coming here or sending a CD.

We can then master them as normal and return them to you using the same method.

The mastering of digital releases has often been overlooked in recent years, with producers sometimes believing that a downloaded mastering plug-in can have the same effect as a solid state mastering studio with an experienced mastering engineer at the helm.

At Curved we use the complete vinyl mastering suite of Focusrite Blue, Maselec, Orban, RME etc, a huge ATC SCM 300 and Genelec monitors to master your digital tracks with no time or exspense spared.

A well mastered digital track will sound better in the home as well as in a PA/sound system environment. The volume, full bandwidth and dynamics, and excellent EQing are all provided at our studio by our experienced mastering engineer, Lawrie.

Lawrie has been mastering vinyl and CD’s for over 10 years as well as being a front of house engineer, studio engineer and prolific producer.

Please don’t ‘over-cook’ your pre-masters. You don’t want your wavs to sound like mp3’s. Leave some headroom; let us sort the optimum balance between dynamics, EQ and level for you.
